Reports are built from National Weather Service Local Storm Reports via the Xweather API. HailWinner reports summarize publicly reported weather data. They are not a roof inspection and are not an insurance adjustment opinion.

Coming soon

Two things we are building next. Neither is part of a report today.

Coming soon
Meteorologist review — coming soon

Today, every HailWinner report is generated automatically from National Weather Service storm reports. No AI writes your findings and no one editorializes the data — the reported hail sizes and dates are printed exactly as the NWS recorded them, with the scoring method shown on the report itself. We're adding optional review by a credentialed meteorologist for disputed claims and high-value roofs. If that's something you'd use, tell us and we'll contact you when it launches.

Hail maps — coming soon

We're building maps that plot each reported hail event around an address, with the date and reported size on every point. The map will use the same National Weather Service records the reports are built from.

What is in
a report

Every report is built from National Weather Service Local Storm Reports, delivered through the Xweather data API and archived back to 1950. These are ground-truth observations of hail that was actually reported, not modeled estimates. We search a 10-mile radius around the geocoded property address and print every qualifying event: the date, the reported hail size, and the location. Because the underlying records are public, anything in your report can be cross-checked against NOAA's Storm Events Database.

  • Show a homeowner the dated hail history for their roof
  • Check an address before you send a crew
  • Bring dated records to a claim conversation
  • Skip addresses with no reported hail
